The Afghan Youth Parliament (AYP) is an independent, non-partisan, youth-led civic initiative of Empowered Circle, grounded in the Youth, Peace and Security agenda. It connects young Afghans across Afghanistan, refugee communities, and the diaspora to strengthen dialogue, leadership, peacebuilding, and meaningful participation.
Our Purpose
“Afghanistan does not lack young people with ideas or leadership potential. What is missing is a sustained mechanism connecting their voices with opportunities to influence decisions. AYP seeks to build that connection.”Discover AYP
About
AYP is an independent civic platform creating sustained and accountable opportunities for Afghan youth to participate in national dialogue, peacebuilding, leadership development, and policy discussions.
AYP builds on the Afghan Youth Inclusion Mechanism (AYIM), which engaged more than 3,000 Afghan youth across 73 countries during 2025–2026.
